The It Girl behind the Instagram handle @arielpeche, Ariel Ginsburg is a Philly native who hopped from New York to Miami before landing in Chicago. She’s dipped her toes into production, sales and even real estate, but found her true passion when she launched Le Fair, a blogger bash-meets-sample sale that gained a huge following and catapulted her into a career producing pop-up shops and events for major brands like Fancy, Lululemon and W Hotels through her company, Pêche Productions. “What energizes me is getting to create beautiful experiences and content that bring brands’ visions to life,” she says. “I love the art of storytelling; production brings together many of my passions and creative outlets.”
As an influencer in her own right, she’s perfect for the role of VIP Patient Care Coordinator and Events Manager at OVME Chicago, where she makes sure top talent is set up with the best treatments and orchestrates engaging experiences to get guests into the studio. “Chicago is very different from other cities; people are a little more understated,” Ariel says. “The OVME Chicago client is elevated— somebody who’s serious about taking care of their skin and wants to take their look to the next level.”
Here, we chat with Ariel about Chicago, skincare and what gets her glowing.
ON SELF-CARE:
I like to do a lot of research. I don’t want to put anything into or do anything to my body that’s somehow damaging. I was diagnosed with melanoma last year—I’m healthy and safe now—so I’m really cautious. … My melanoma scar is big, and on the back of my calf. I just started treating it with BBL; you’re always going to be able to see it, but this way it’s not going to be dark red, it’s less noticeable. The BBL is great for scarring and dark spots.
ON SKIN:
I’ve never had bad skin—I was lucky in that sense—but my skin reacts to everything. I’ve never worn foundation; my face will break out from it. So except on a rare occasion, I don’t really wear any face makeup, and that’s what lasers have allowed me to do.
ON LASERS:
I do Halo, which is a deep resurfacing laser, once a year to help with anti-aging, getting rid of fine lines, and pore size. The BBL gets the redness out of your skin and also helps with pigmentation if you have sun spots, things of that nature; I do that three times a year. Yes, it’s expensive—but think about how much money you’d be spending on makeup. This is an investment in the future of your skin.
ON CHICAGO:
Chicago is the first place I came where I knew nobody and was able to build this brand and make connections without anybody really helping me. There’s something to be said for that, where you feel like you’re making it on your own. … I like the old-school places: La Scarola is the best Italian in town. If somebody comes to visit—and they’re not a high-maintenance person—the evening I take them out on is La Scarola and then Richard’s Bar next door.
ON FINDING HER GLOW:
I find my glow through living a healthy lifestyle, taking care of my skin—lots of SPF!—and helping lift others up.
