Why Botox at OVME?

OVME is a Diamond Certified account with Allergan, Inc., the maker of Botox. This designation means that OVME is in the top 1% of medical aesthetic practices in the nation by volume. The providers at OVME have been historically recognized as the largest Botox provider in the southeastern United States. Our client satisfaction is a testament to our experience, advanced injection techniques and superior patient outcomes.

What is the process?

At OVME our providers seek to deliver natural and long-lasting results. During a Botox procedure, an OVME Advanced Aesthetic Nurse or MD will evaluate the treatment areas based on the desired patient outcome. A Botox treatment normally takes 15 minutes or less, and in most instances, the procedure is easily tolerated. There is no real downtime associated with Botox however you may see redness at the injection site immediately after treatment. The cosmetic results from Botox can last anywhere from 3-4 months.

History of Botox

Botox Cosmetic, commonly referred to as Botox, is actually the brand name of the neurotoxin developed by Allergan, Inc. Botox was originally used by ophthalmologists to treat crossed or wandering eyes. After it was found to be effective in reducing wrinkles, the FDA approved it to be used as a cosmetic procedure in 2002. Botox has received FDA clearance to treat facial wrinkles in the galbellar (frown lines) and crow’s feet (around the eyes).
