What is a dermal filler?

At OVME dermal fillers are primarily made out of hyaluronic acid gel. There are many areas of the face that dermal fillers can treat including: lips, cheeks, smile lines, vertical lip lines, marionette lines, and chin wrinkles. Fillers are a great non-surgical cosmetic procedure that deliver immediate and natural results lasting anywhere from 4-24 months.

Do fillers hurt?

Dermal fillers contain lidocaine, a common anesthetic, which helps patients tolerate the minor “pinch and pressure” associated with injections. There is minimal downtime associated with dermal fillers. Patients are treated with ice immediately following the procedure. While the potential for bruising and swelling exists, if it occurs it normally lasts only a few days.

Injector experience and expertise are critical to achieving a superior cosmetic result. Dr. S. Mark McKenna is a national trainer for Allergan, Inc. He and his team of OVME Certified Providers are ranked in the top 1% of practices in the nation by volume and have been historically acknowledged as one of the largest injectable accounts in the southeastern United States.
