Juvederm Voluma

Juvederm Voluma® XC, referred to as Voluma®, is used by both men and women to restore volume in the mid face. While it is made out of hyaluronic acid like other injectable fillers, Voluma® is modified to give more of a lift to restore volume loss in the cheek area. This is a great non-surgical option if you’re looking for a subtle change in regaining a youthful appearance. It is clinically proven to last up to 2 years with minimal downtime.

Voluma® contains lidocaine, a common anesthetic, which helps patients tolerate the minor “pinch and pressure” associated with injection. Results are seen immediately after the procedure and full correction is apparent within 1 week. There is minimal downtime associated with Voluma®. Patients are treated with ice immediately following the procedure. While the potential for bruising and swelling exists, if it occurs it normally last only a few days.

The cost of Voluma® depends on the number of syringes used to achieve your aesthetic goals. Your cost not only includes the price of the product, but more importantly, the skill and expertise of the OVME Certified Provider performing your treatment.

Voluma® is eligible for credit towards Brilliant Distinctions, Allergan’s loyalty program. Brilliant Distinctions is a great way to save on your favorite procedures and SkinMedica products at no cost to you. Think of it as credit card miles for your anti-aging treatments.

When will I see results?

Voluma® results are immediate, and you can expect to see the full correction within 7-14 days.

Is one brand or product better than another?

While there are a number of fillers for facial rejuvenation, Voluma® is the preferred product for creating a natural youthful looking lift to the mid fice.

Can I schedule a Voluma® treatment the day before a big event?

A Voluma® recovery time may vary. While not everyone will bruise, there may be swelling at the injection site and potential for bruising that may last up to a week. We do not recommend scheduling around any major events due to potential of bruising.

Does the Voluma® procedure hurt?

With the topical numbing applied before the procedure, patients describe Voluma® as a pinch with pressure. Some spots are more sensitive than others, but patients generally tolerate the procedure well in our experience. Patients may experience mild soreness up to 24 hours after the procedure.

How does Voluma® lift the treated area?

The Vycross® technology provides a long-lasting lift to the cheek area.

Does it really matter who does my Voluma®?

There are specialty injection techniques and skills required to maintain a natural and smooth look. It is highly recommended that an OVME Certified Provider perform the procedure in order to prevent complications and give you the best possible results.

Yes, you can receive Voluma® the same day you receive other injectable treatments. We do prefer, however, to treat with Voluma® after any laser procedures.

The Voluma® OVME treatment cost is based on how many syringes are used for discussed aesthetic goals. The number varies depending on the areas being treated, and providers can give you an expected price prior to the procedure. An OVME Membership is the most affordable maintenance option available.

What happens if I need more correction or it didn’t quite work in an area?

As a practice based on patient satisfaction and results, OVME is happy to perform adjustments after your treatment.
