What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable made with poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which stimulates your body’s natural collagen production to restore volume and smooth wrinkles. Unlike traditional fillers, it works gradually for long-lasting, natural-looking results.
How does Sculptra work?
Sculptra works by injecting PLLA beneath the skin, where the PLLA particles act as a scaffold to stimulate your body’s natural healing process and produce new collagen fibers. Over time, the body absorbs the PLLA particles, leaving behind fresh collagen that restores volume and firmness.
What areas can be treated with Sculptra?
Sculptra® is clinically approved to treat cheek wrinkles, deep folds between the nose and mouth (nasolabial folds or “smile lines”), lines framing the mouth (marionette lines), chin wrinkles, and to gradually restore volume and shape in various areas of the body.
When will I see results?
Most clients begin to see results as soon as 1 month, with sustained results for up to 2 years. Typical treatment is 3 sessions spaced at least 3 to 4 weeks apart.
How many treatments will I need?
On average, you will have 2 to 3 treatment sessions over the course of a few months. The number of injections at each session will vary based on the treatment plan determined by you and your aesthetic professional.
