Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for 4–6 weeks before and during your treatment course.

Skip self-tanning products for at least 2 weeks before treatment on the face, 3–4 weeks on the body.

Do not proceed with treatment if you have sunburn, active skin infections, open lesions, rashes, eczema, psoriasis, or irritation in the area.

Contact your studio to reschedule if you have an active cold sore, even outside the treatment area.

Avoid injectables in the treatment area for 2 weeks prior unless cleared by your provider.

Inform your provider if you:
· Are pregnant or nursing
· Have a history of allergy or intolerance to anesthetics, such as lidocaine or novocaine.
· Have used Accutane®/isotretinoin within the past 12 months
· Have a history of keloid scarring or poor wound healing
· Have autoimmune conditions or compromised immunity
· Have a history of frequent cold sores (antiviral medication may be required)

Clients must be willing to avoid direct or prolonged sun and heat exposure for 6 weeks after each treatment.

A consultation and skin assessment will be completed to confirm candidacy before treatment begins.

A topical anesthetic (numbing cream) is applied prior to treatment for comfort.

Protective eyewear is placed.

Moxi delivers gentle, non-ablative laser energy to target sun damage, early signs of aging, and uneven tone.

You may feel a mild prickling or warmth, which is generally well tolerated.

Immediately after, skin may appear red and feel warm, like a mild sunburn; this usually resolves in 1–4 hours.

Avoid exercise or any strenuous activities that cause sweating, increased heart rate or heating of the skin for a minimum of 48 hours after treatment.

Avoid Jacuzzis, saunas, hot showers, and steam baths for at least 48 hours post treatment.

Avoid direct or prolonged sun exposure or tanning for 6 weeks. Do not use tanning beds.

Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, and active ingredients for 7 days or until cleared by your provider.

Use only gentle skincare approved or recommended by your provider.

To avoid potential reactions, do not use Aquaphor, Neosporin, or other antibiotic ointments during the healing process.

Cleanse gently with cool water.

Apply broad-spectrum SPF daily and reapply as directed. Wear protective clothing when outdoors.

Do not pick, scratch, or exfoliate treated areas.

Makeup may be worn after 48 hours or approved by your provider.

To reduce post-treatment swelling, which is normal and expected, Benadryl can be used at night before bedtime. Many clients also find it helpful to position 2-3 extra pillows to keep their head elevated while they sleep.

Normal healing responses include:
· Redness and warmth (1-4 hours)
· Swelling (2–3 days, worst in mornings)
· Mild flaking or sandpaper-like texture (days 2–7)
· Temporary acne breakouts in those prone to congestion
· Healing timelines may vary; pigmented skin may take longer to recover

Contact your studio immediately if you experience blistering, prolonged redness, infection, severe swelling, unusual pigmentation changes, or other concerning symptoms.
