OVME For Life: Peptides for Weight Loss and Wellness FAQ

Welcome to OVME For Life's Peptides for Weight Loss and Wellness program. As a Vitality member, we're sure you're eager to get started. Please reference these frequently asked questions as you begin this chapter of your wellness journey. We are also always here to guide you if you have further questions. You're on your way to a better version of you!

My peptides arrived, now what?

Woohoo! We know you are excited. If you have not already scheduled a telehealth appointment with us and would like to go over how to inject and protocols, please schedule here.

How do I inject my peptides?

You can inject them into the thigh, upper arm, stomach, or buttocks. Check out our YouTube channel for more injection videos.

It says inject “X units,” but that doesn't look like very much — is that right?

Most of the syringes contain between 40 and 100 units. Follow the directions on our prescription bottle to determine the correct amount to draw up. Some doses might seem like a very tiny amount of solution, but we assure you it is correct.

What should I expect when I start peptides?

Remember to stay consistent with your peptide regimen and follow dosing instructions to see results in a timely manner. Results and changes typically start to become noticeable between months 2 and 4.

What if I take too much of a peptide?

Please call our office at your convenience to go over any symptoms you may be experiencing.

Can I use peptides if I am breastfeeding or pregnant?

At this time, there is minimal data regarding the safety of peptides in pregnant and breastfeeding individuals. Therefore, we do not prescribe peptides to pregnant or breastfeeding persons.

What happens if I miss an injection?

If you miss an injection, we recommend resuming the therapy the next day. Additional or makeup doses are not recommended.

Why are peptides instructed to be taken Monday through Friday?

You can technically take peptides for seven days, but for dosing purposes and consistency, it's easiest to stick with a schedule like Monday through Friday. If your peptides come later in the week and you are eager to get started, by all means, feel free to start them and then take the next weekend off.

How do I make my peptides most effective?

Consistency is key, and sleep, a balanced diet, and exercise will help your peptides work even better. Try to take your peptides at the same time when they are instructed to dose and try to not miss days if possible. We understand travel and life happens- but drawing up the dose ahead of time, setting a reminder alarm, or doing it during a specific time during your morning or night routine will help you remember to take them.

Can I travel with peptides?

Yes, you can. We recommend bringing them in your carry-on luggage. Be sure to pre-draw syringes instead of bringing the whole bottles. This will help prevent accidental loss. Peptides are okay at room temperature until you reach your destination, but feel free to bring an ice pack with them if you prefer.

How should I reach out if I have any questions?

Please use our HIPAA-compliant messaging platform to ask any questions related to injecting or other issues.

What is the best way to store your peptides?

Keep them in the fridge and away from sunlight. Peptides can be kept at room temperature for up to seven days if you need to travel.

How do I dispose of my syringes?

These should be disposed of properly in a lidded container. Please refer to our handout on how to properly dispose of syringes.

I heard semaglutide can make you nauseous or have less energy — is this true?

Sometimes, yes. This is because semaglutide helps regulate your insulin levels, so some nausea is not unexpected. However, consuming the right foods and avoiding alcohol can help reduce these side effects.

What is the difference between Ozempic, Wegovy, and Semaglutide?

Ozempic and Wegovy are both injections containing the same active ingredient: semaglutide. Ozempic is approved to treat Type 2 diabetes, while Wegovy is a higher-dose version approved for weight loss.

How long until I see results?

Remember, getting here did not happen overnight, so we recommend giving our peptide programs more than a few months to show long-term results. The timeframe depends on which peptides you started on. Some people will notice effects within the first week but for others it can take longer — remain patient and consistent.

Can I take multiple peptides at the same time?

Yes, this is why we offer custom packages! These packages were carefully crafted by our expert team to provide a comprehensive approach to health.

Where can I purchase more syringes?

On your first visit, we will provide you with enough syringes for four months of peptide therapy. If you run out, please let us know, and we can have some ready for you.

Once I start on peptides, do I have to continue using them?

Peptides work best with consistency and time. You will begin to notice both physical and mental changes as well as improvement in your sleep. However, there is no health risk associated with discontinuing use. We just anticipate that you'll love the results so much that you won't want to stop!

I love how peptides make me feel and want to share this with others on the same journey. How can I get connected?

We love hearing from you and how peptides make you feel. Please feel free to tag us on social or share your story with your provider. We love hearing how you feel!

My order arrived, and the ice pack is melted. Is it okay?

Yes! The peptides need to be placed in the fridge after you receive them, but there's no cause for concern if the ice pack melted. Peptides can be stored at room temperature for up to seven days.

If something is missing from my order or if I have issues after my peptides arrive, what should I do?

If it's during normal business hours, please call your studio. If not, send us an email and we will respond as quickly as possible.

Why is my dosage different for semaglutide than my friends?

Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are not one-size-fits-all medications. Our consultations are crucial to understanding where you struggle with weight loss, how long it's been since you gained weight, and ensuring you feel good while taking peptides without experiencing nausea or rapid weight loss. It's essential to follow the dosage instructions on the bottle.

Why do I have to mix some of the medications myself while some are pre-mixed?

This is because a few of the peptides are very sensitive to light and heat. They remain stable until they are mixed. By mixing them yourself, we ensure that the product is protected and as effective as it is when it leaves the pharmacy door.
