Botox Brow Lift Treatments

Botox is injected into the upper and outer portion of the eye muscle,near the tail of the brow, which is responsible forsqueezing the lid shut. When placed in small amounts in this area, a slight upwards lift of the outer brow and potentially some of the lateral upper eyelid can be achieved.

Botox typically lasts 3-4 months. A brow lift uses much less than the indicated amount used in traditional areas (like glabella or crow’s feet), so it may not last the full duration, but it will depend on the individual.

While the goal of the treatment is to lift the tail of the brow, slight lifting of the eyelid may occur, which may help the appearance of hooded lids. If there is excessive hooding or lid laxity, Botox may not make a noticeable difference.

The Botox brow lift helps to achieve a subtle lift of the tail of the brow, typically2-3mm. It makes the eye appear more open and may contribute to a more awake appearance.

This will vary by the degree of lift the individual desires or needs, the shape of their natural brow, and the technique andpreference of the injector. In general, 2-4 units per brow is average, but providers may use a higher dose in some cases.
